Rugby Challenge

This is a Freshman/Sophomore versus the Juniors/Seniors challenge!

There are two courses I would like you to take. The first one and by far the quickest is the Touch Judge on USA Rugby’s site. The second one you have more time for is through World Rugby and is a requirement before you can take the Referee Clinic to become a certified Referee in the Illinois region.

The online course for Touch Judge is on USA Rugby's site (a free course). You will need to logon. This will be a bit interesting since your membership has always been created by Rugby Illinois. Let me know if you have issues with getting setup on USA Rugby. Once you have a profile setup then you will login. Once you are here then on the left side of the page click on Referee Courses.

The 2nd requires more time and is through World Rugby and you will need to create an account. After you are set up, at the top menu click on Passport Site then Laws of the Game and start taking the course. You will need the World Rugby Laws to complete the course. You can find it on the site. Some of the language it convoluted and crazy so if you need help let me know. Each chapter has a section on the online training and a quiz. You have to finish each chapter in the pdf and the corresponding section of the online training and quiz. Once you complete each you get a certificate. Attached is the Interesting document which covers the new law changes and as well as other common laws. It has some comparisons with football too. It is worth a read so we can apply in practice sessions and during games.
